Theological Journals Available for Free on the Internet: An up-to-date, close-to-comprehensive list of biblical, religious, and theological journals that have at least some years online (full-text) for free. Maintained by ATLA.
Religion-Online.org: More than 3,600 previously published articles and chapters, which deal with the Bible, theology, ethics, church history, ministry, missions, etc. Includes the full-text of over 160 books, including The Lord's Prayer by Joachim Jeremias and The Varieties of Religious Experience by William James.
The Online Books Page: This site, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, provides access to the complete text of over 16,000 titles. Terrific resource for older material, such as early American history (e.g., Plantation Life Before Emancipation by R.Q. Mallard, 1892) and older fiction (e.g., The Sphinx by Oscar Wilde, 1894). Titles are searchable by title or author, and browseable by subject.
